The Standard Of General Protective Clothing

The standard of general protective clothing for firefighters promulgated by the Ministry of Public Security of China stipulates the following contents: the overall performance of fire-retardant clothing, the flame-retardant properties of clothing materials and sewing lines, the mechanical properties of clothing, the structural design of clothing, the processing and manufacture of clothing, the marking and packaging of finished products, transportation, inspection methods, etc.


EN531: European Union Standard for Industrial Thermal Protective Clothing


The overall performance, structural design, dimensional stability, flame spread, heat resistance and melting metal properties, size marking and marking, user information, pattern recognition, etc. of flame retardant clothing are specified.


EN470-1: European Union Standard for Welders and Thermal Protective Clothing of Close Types of Work

NFPA 1971 2000 American Fire Service Standard


This standard stipulates the minimum dress requirements for structural fire fighters, including the design, performance and testing of clothing, as well as the testing of clothing components and accessories (jackets, trousers, helmet, gloves, shoes and boots). This edition integrates the contents of the original NFPA1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974, and can replace the latter completely.


NFPA 1977 1998 American Fire Service Standard


This standard stipulates the minimum dress requirements for fire fighters in field fires, including the design, performance and testing of clothing, as well as the testing of clothing components and accessories (shirts, coats, trousers, helmet, headgear, shawls, gloves, shoes and boots). This version combines the contents of the original NFPA 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974, and can replace the latter completely.


AS4824-2001 Australian (Transitional Version) Firefighter Protective Clothing Standard


The standard specifies design requirements, sampling and pretreatment, thermal performance requirements, mechanical performance requirements, ergonomics and comfort requirements, overall requirements, manufacturer information and marking marks for outdoor and forest firefighters.


AS4967-2002 Australian (Transitional Version) Standard for Fire Protection Clothing
